From 5 October 2026 to 26 February 2027 it is on show at Krzysztofory Palace, and according to the museum admission is free.
Museum of Krakow on the exhibition (our translation; the museum publishes this text in Polish only):
“Under a Knitted Sky” is a project made 100% by hand by women and men who knit and who take an active part in the life and running of the “Krakow knitters” group. In 2025 we started a campaign that brought together more than 100 interested people, united by one goal - to make enough 50 cm by 50 cm crochet squares to build a shade against the sun, ideally on the streets of Krakow. We wanted to show that a community like ours can together create something that serves not only our own community but society as a whole. We drew our inspiration from the Spanish town of Alhaurín de la Torre, Málaga, where knitters joined forces to make a shade against the sun, lowering the temperature in the streets by 5 degrees Celsius.

Yiannis Kranidiotis. Bunkier Sztuki Contemporary Art Gallery on the exhibition (the gallery’s own English text):
The Language of Pearls is an exhibition of works by Celine Levitan, in which sewing becomes a form of pictorial thinking. The artist consistently defines her works as paintings, even though they are produced from fabrics, embroidery, and patchwork appliqués, lavishly decorated with sequins, faux pearls, and plastic stones. The material serves no utilitarian purpose here. It becomes the fabric of the image: it allows for the construction of successive layers of representation, saturated with colour, light, and meaning, which, as the artist herself emphasises, she would be unable to achieve in the traditional medium of painting.

Kinga Nowak. Of the Manggha Museum’s four current exhibitions, this is the only one that is not about Japan. It runs at the museum’s Europe - Far East Gallery until 25 October 2026.

Andrzej Pawłowski. These were abstract moving images of light that Andrzej Pawłowski played live from a hand-operated projector in the 1950s, including on the stage of Kantor’s Cricot 2 theatre. It opened on 16 February 2026, forty years to the day after the artist’s death, and Cricoteka has not announced a closing date.

The Podgórze Museum tells its story through the people who ran it, using the keepsakes they saved, because much of the hotel’s paperwork is lost or in private hands.
