What to expect
A private collection of more than 70 pinball machines and video arcade games spanning the 1930s to the present day, set up at Podwale 17 in the Old Town, a few steps from the Little Insurgent monument along the city walls. Interactive means exactly that here: the machines are switched on and playing them is what your ticket buys, with the rooms arranged thematically so you can read the collection through technology, manufacturers, or the cult designers behind the tables.
The anchor piece is Gottlieb’s Humpty Dumpty from 1947 - the first pinball machine with flippers, the moment skill replaced pure chance in the game. Only 6,500 were made, few survive in original condition, and this one came from a museum in Los Angeles. Around it stand genuine rarities: Zaccaria’s Spooky from 1987 (roughly 15 surviving units worldwide), the 1983 Money Money video game (probably only two originals left anywhere), and Williams’ Cactus Canyon from 1998 - the last Williams/Bally machine, with just 900 produced. Two tables come with film pedigrees: Slamdunk from the set of The Accused (1988) and Four Million B.C. from Nicolas Cage’s collection. The Galaxy room holds video arcade classics - Space Invaders, Asteroids, and Defender.
A word of warning on the name: Warsaw has several separate pinball and arcade venues with confusingly similar names. Tiger Score on Podwale is not the same place as Pinball Station on Kolejowa in Wola - Tiger Score is the only one of them in the Old Town.
Tips
- Tickets are timed, not flat entry: standard 60 PLN for one hour, 100 PLN for two hours, 120 PLN open-ended (no time limit). Reduced, for visitors under 18: 40 / 65 / 90 PLN. Family (2 adults + 2 children): 170 / 250 / 300 PLN. At roughly 4.3 PLN per euro, that is about 14 EUR for an hour and 28 EUR for the open ticket.
- One hour is tight with 70+ machines. If you want to play more than a handful of tables, the two-hour or open ticket works out better than topping up.
- Thursday through Sunday it stays open two hours longer (until 10:00 PM) - an evening visit after a walk around the Old Town fits naturally.
- Groups have a separate offer: school trips, corporate events, pinball tournaments, and VIP tours with the owner - book by email or phone.
- If machine count matters more to you than location, compare with Pinball Station - a larger collection, but in a different part of the city and with a different ticket model.
Getting there
Address: ul. Podwale 17, 00-252 Warsaw - in the Old Town, along the defensive walls near the Barbican and the Little Insurgent monument. Podwale is the street that curves around the outside of the Old Town walls, so the entrance is outside the main square crowds but under two minutes from them.
Bus and tram: Stare Miasto stops on the W-Z route (al. Solidarności), then a few minutes on foot uphill.
Metro: Ratusz Arsenał station (line M1), about a 10-12 minute walk through the Old Town.
Car: most of the Old Town is closed to traffic and the streets around Podwale are paid-parking with few spaces - public transport is simply faster here.
