Polish Poster. The Collection - Part 3

The next rotation of the permanent display at the Poster Museum in Wilanów, a branch of the National Museum in Warsaw. The same six-part story about the Polish poster, different objects on the walls.

National Museum on the exhibition:

The Poster Museum in Wilanów is back! From Young Poland-era posters to contemporary graphic design projects - the Polish poster collection numbers nearly 36,000 objects. For the first time in the history of the world’s first poster museum, they will be presented as part of a permanent exhibition.

Because paper is fragile, the display will change every three months. The story it tells, however, will stay the same: a history of social, cultural, and political change that left its mark on posters.

The exhibition is divided into six chapters: from the Young Poland era, through the artistic advertising of the interwar period, postwar propaganda, the artistic phenomenon of the Polish poster school, to contemporary graphic design.

The display is accompanied by a richly illustrated publication prepared by Kuba Sowiński - a compendium on the Polish poster and on the history of the Poster Museum in Wilanów.

What to expect

Part three runs from 13 October 2026 to 24 January 2027 at the Poster Museum in Wilanów. If you saw part one or part two, come back: the structure of the story stays the same, but the posters on the walls do not - the three-month rotation exists because paper is fragile. It pairs naturally with a visit to Wilanów Palace, a few minutes’ walk away.
