What Is This Queue For? The Polish People's Republic in a Musical Mirror

A temporary exhibition at the Polish History Museum in Warsaw, from 3 September to 6 December 2026.

The Polish History Museum on the exhibition:

The exhibition will be an attempt to look at the history of the Polish People’s Republic through the popular music of the years 1944-1989. Its main aim will be to show music as a space in which various social reactions to the communist system were expressed - from active support, through passive acceptance, to various forms of contestation or of the wish to influence reality.

The museum announces curatorial tours and guided visits to the exhibition, as well as museum lessons prepared for it.
