What to expect
Kleks. The Magic of Cinema is an interactive entertainment and education centre built around the world of Mr Kleks’s Academy - Poland’s beloved children’s book series, recently revived as a big-budget film franchise. It occupies part of Centrum Praskie Koneser, a revitalised 19th-century vodka distillery complex in the Praga district. Inside the historic brick walls stand rooms transported directly from the film set, along with original costumes and figures of the actors; guides walk visitors through the zones and share behind-the-scenes stories from the production.
The operators describe it as “more than a play room”, and that is accurate in both directions: visiting mixes film-set sightseeing with hands-on activities - escape rooms, magic elixir (science) shows, quizzes, challenges and creative drawing workshops. Children collect stamps for completed tasks and move through themed zones known from the films: the lecture hall, the dining room, the magical forest (where the film character Serdelek awaits) and the wolf-creatures’ cave.
An honest assessment: this is a commercial family attraction, not a classical museum. Adults without children have no reason to come. For families with preschool and school-age kids, though - especially fans of the Kleks Academy films - it is one of the better indoor options on the Praga side of the river, and a good rainy-day pick. The company also runs a second branch in Katowice.
Tips
- Buy tickets online - the official booking system advertises online tickets as cheaper than at the box office. Check the current price list on the official site; at roughly 4.3 PLN to the euro, typical Warsaw family-attraction tickets fall in the 10-20 EUR range per person.
- Watch for promotions - the venue runs frequent discounts (in summer 2026 all tickets were half price), so check the price page before booking.
- Hours differ on weekdays and weekends - weekdays it opens only at 1:00 PM, weekends at 10:00 AM; in July and August it runs daily 10:00 AM-8:00 PM.
- Birthday parties and school or preschool group visits are a core part of the offer - groups should book by phone (+48 721 777 337).
- Combine the visit with a stroll around the Koneser complex - adults can follow up next door at the Polish Vodka Museum.
