It commemorates around 600 Polish officer-physicians killed by the NKVD in 1940, under the Kremlin order of 5 March. This is not a show about numbers - it works to restore the biographies and faces of specific people.
The opening is on Tuesday, 14 July 2026 at 15:00, and the exhibition runs until 30 September 2026. It is co-organized by the Katyń Museum and the Museum of Independence.

The May Coup: A Caricaturist's Sharp Eye

This exhibition looks at the May Coup of 1926 and the years of Sanacja rule through the work of two caricaturists: Gustaw Rogalski (1887-1939) and Zdzisław Czermański (1900-1970). Their satirical drawings were a direct, often merciless commentary on the state of the country and its leading political figures. The material captures the political mood of the era more vividly than most textbooks.
The exhibition runs until 30 September 2026 at the museum’s main building at al. Solidarności 62. It opened on 20 May 2026.

The Memory of the Uprising

Bogusław Lustyk (born 1940 in Warsaw, a graduate of the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts) has returned to the Warsaw Uprising as a subject throughout his career.
